As we gather for Thanksgiving I took this shot of Mike and Mandy’s baby, Oliver. Socks isn’t real crazy to see him and makes sure that he knows where he is at all times.

Basketball season officially began tonight as our girls’ team played in a tournament at school. With the temperatures dropping as a cold front moved in I was glad to be shooting basketball rather than football. This shot was a test shot I took during the first game while getting ready for our team to play. I uploaded 90 or so shots to a gallery on our school webpage (http://www.greenville.k12.us/trest/.) The season started off well with the girls winning 71-26.

I was just looking through more pictures I took recently on a trip up to Caesar’s Head. This shot was one of my favorites from the day of the walkway to the overlook. With winter coming I suspect the trees are getting pretty bare by now.

I walked around our neighborhood a few days ago and watched the leaves falling from the trees. I took this shot of a tree in our front yard with the sun behind it late in the day. I also took some shots at a pond near our house and uploaded them to my Flickr site.

The colors have been vivid this fall, perhaps due to the extended drought we have had. The colors are past their peak and winter is just around the corner. Basketball has begun at school and I’m looking forward to the Thanksgiving break.
