On this last night in 2008 I was headed out to take photos at our girls’ basketball game and saw this scene. The moon and venus were the only objects visible just above the tree line.

One of the photography blogs I follow had a series on water drops captured with a macro lens. I decided to play with it a little and set up my camera on a tripod, set up the flash off to the right, and pulled out the wireless trigger to shoot a bunch of shots. This one I found interesting as the drops formed from the stream. More shots are on my Flickr page.

It is far from Spring-like outside today but there was a flock of robins flying around our back yard so I pulled out the camera and took some shots. It was a bit difficult to get close since the dogs next door would greet me loudly when I moved toward the fence and the birds would scatter. They did return pretty quickly, though, and allowed me to get several shots.
