The spring sports season at school is a busy one. Soccer, softball, track, baseball, tennis, and golf are all playing and some nights there are multiple sports going on at once. Last week I shot over 1500 photos of various sports.

It is always interesting to see some of the shots after I get home where I can see things I did not notice at the time. This is one of my favorite shots taken Friday afternoon at a softball game. The batter hit a fly ball and you can see everyone watching to see what would happen.

I haven’t taken any pictures the past couple of days but was looking through some old shots and found this one which is one of my favorites that I took with my Pentax *ist DL. Two summers ago I went on a school trip with several colleagues to Pittsburgh. We went to a Pirates game at PNC Park and I took this shot from the Riverwalk outside the park. It’s a beautiful baseball park with a great view of the city across the river.

The Class A farm team for the World Champion Red Sox is based here in Greenville and plays in a stadium that is a smaller scale of Fenway Park. The stadium is now named Fluor Field in the West End. I recently went with a group from church to a game and took my camera. The clown worked to fire the crowd up but the Greenville Drive fell to the Augusta Greenjackets.
